WHO’S THIS SAM FULD DUDE?

Sam Fuld was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in 1991 but didn’t let T1D get in the way of his thirteen year professional baseball career. Sam made his Major League debut with the Chicago Cubs in 2007 and went on to play parts of nine seasons in the big leagues with the Cubs, Rays, Twins and A’s. After retiring in 2017, he took a job with the Philadelphia Phillies and currently serves as their General Manager. Sam has proudly held his annual T1D Sports Camp since 2012.

He resides in Philadelphia with his wife, Sarah, and his four children, Charlie, Jane, William and Spencer.
